Application Process:
- Select Your Field: Choose your preferred internship field and prepare your CV and motivational letter to help us find the best match for you.
- Submit Materials: Our in-country partner will review your application materials and seek potential placement opportunities.
- Interview: You may be invited to a virtual interview, although this is not always required.
- Confirmation: Once accepted, you’ll receive confirmation of your internship and can begin preparing for your exciting journey!
Once accepted, you’ll be guided by an experienced supervisor who will monitor your progress through weekly feedback sessions. They’ll also share insider tips on exploring Jaipur, helping you make the most of your free time.
You’ll have 4-5 hours each day, plus the entire weekend, to explore to your heart’s content.
And what a place to explore! Known as the ‘Pink City’ for its breathtaking pink-hued architecture, Jaipur is a traveller’s paradise. With twice-weekly cultural workshops organised by our partner, you’ll always find exciting new adventures.
Requirements
To qualify for this trip, you need to provide proof of current student status (if applicable) or a degree/certificate in your desired internship field. Additionally, you must have an English proficiency level of B2 or higher.
What extra costs will I have?
Flights, travel insurance, criminal background check, accommodation, daily transportation, souvenirs & spending money.
Your internship might also involve additional fees, such as a permit cost for nursing or medical interns.
Accommodation & meals
Upon arriving at Jaipur International Airport, your pre-arranged transfer will take you directly to your accommodation.
Our in-country partner offers a range of accommodation options to suit different preferences and budgets.
You can choose between a quad-share dorm or a private room in a dedicated intern house, which includes WiFi, kitchen, and laundry facilities.
For a richer cultural experience, you can opt to stay with a local host family, accommodating up to 3 participants, with a maximum of 2 per room.
Your chosen accommodation includes 3 meals a day, 7 days a week.
Breakfast is typically self-serve, with various options available for you to prepare yourself. Lunch and dinner will be provided by your project partner or host family, featuring traditional North Indian vegetarian dishes.
India’s cuisine is renowned for its rich and diverse flavours. If you’re open to new tastes, this will be one of the most exciting culinary experiences of your life!
For those who prefer to cook or have a simpler diet, the intern house includes kitchen facilities, and host families usually offer access to their kitchens as well.

Your internship is confirmed and organised before you leave home.
Arrival
When you arrive at Jaipur International Airport, your pre-arranged transfer will be waiting to take you directly to your accommodation. Once there, you can settle in and get to know the other interns who will be sharing this incredible experience with you.
Orientation
On your first Sunday in Jaipur, you’ll participate in a comprehensive orientation with our project partner. This session will provide you with a brief history and context of modern India, as well as detailed information about your program and what to expect during your stay.
Internship Day 1
On your first day at the program, you'll focus solely on observation. This isn't a "fake it 'til you make it" situation; instead, you'll receive guidance from the start to ensure you build a solid foundation for your education. Your initial day will be dedicated entirely to observing and learning.
Ongoing
Here’s a general idea of how your days might unfold, though the specifics will depend on your internship placement:
8:00 am: Wake up 8:30 am – 9:00 am: Breakfast – Prepare your own meal in the kitchen with provided ingredients. 10:00 am – 1:00 pm: Work at your internship placement 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Lunch
2:00 pm - 6:00 pm: Continue working at your internship placement
6:00 pm: Return to your accommodation (transportation is your responsibility) 7:45 pm – 8:45 pm: Free time. This period includes twice-weekly cultural workshops, and visits to temples, restaurants, or other events can be arranged by our partners. 8:45 pm: Dinner 9:15 pm: Free time 11:00 pm: Curfew (For your safety, please adhere to it).
While this trip offers plenty of fun, the primary goal is to advance your career and enhance your professional development. Your experienced supervisor will ensure you stay focused, motivated, and on the right track.
You’ll also have weekends free to connect with your colleagues and fellow interns or explore other parts of India.
Once your placement is over, you can choose to stay on in India to explore what else it and the surrounding areas have to offer. Can I bring my pet along?
At Global Work & Travel, we share a deep love for animals and fully understand the special bond you have with your pet. We recognise the challenges of embarking on a trip without them. Due to travel restrictions, requirements, and limited pet-friendly accommodations among our host organisations, we regretfully cannot facilitate their inclusion in the journey. However, many of our customers choose to entrust their pets to a family member or friend, embark on their adventure, and return home to wagging tails and furry cuddles.
What happens if I need to cancel my trip?
We know that life can get in the way of travel, so all our trips come with a great deal of flexibility. In most cases, if you cannot travel on your selected date, you can place your trip on hold to deal with whatever is holding you back, and continue in the future without incurring any penalty. You may also have the option of transferring to an entirely different trip and destination as well, or even transferring your trip to a friend or family member. In the event that you need to outright cancel your trip, if you give us 84* days notice you can do so with only a 50% cancellation fee. Your refund of the balance will come in the form of a Store Credit which you can put toward any other trip that we offer, including tours through third-party providers, as well as holidays through DealsAway.com, and is valid for 2 years from date of issue. As international travel can be complex, your options are based on the progress of your trip organisation and our support team can assist you in finding the best solution for your needs.
