Trip overview

Everyone knows that the best nannies are from the UK. Right? This is your chance to travel to the UK and immerse yourself in an intensive, weeklong nanny training course, to be trained by the best, to become the ultimate nanny. Now, we can’t promise flying umbrellas or singing chimney sweeps, but this is a solid foundation in all the skills you will need to be a nanny anywhere in the world.

Set in a delightful, remodelled country house in the rolling green hills of Wiltshire, you will escape to this quintessentially English retreat where you will live and study with a group of trainee nannies from around the world. The open spaces in the house are perfect for living and learning and the expert team are primed to tutor you in all aspects of the craft of looking after children. Not only are you building your skill set, but also building your confidence, which is a key part of childcare. We keep the numbers down on these courses to ensure the most hands-on approach from the tutors, so you leave knowing that you can look after any kids, anywhere in the world.

Located near London, you are in the perfect spot to do some exploring before or after your course begins. The house is located in Salisbury, a beautiful cathedral city which is right in the heart of all you imagine about England. With the Cotswolds to the north, the glorious coast to the south and London to the east, you really couldn’t be in a more picturesque part of England.  Once you have finished the course, you can easily head out and explore the big cities, London, Manchester, Edinburgh, and the incredible wild spaces in the quaint Cotswolds, the rugged valleys of Wales and the genuinely stunning highlands of Scotland. And, this is not to mention the whole of Europe, which is just a short ferry or plane journey away!

Our dedicated team will help you with all the essentials you need, from visa application, airport transfer & accommodation, 24/7 worldwide support and so much more so that you arrive focused on one thing and one thing only, getting that nanny qualification nailed!

Working with children is such a huge responsibility that the course is completely geared towards giving you every skill possible so you enter the world of nanny or au pair work, with no worries at all. For this, you have to put in a fair shift, but the qualification at the end is an amazing thing to have on your CV.

Staying in a friendly home environment, you will feel like a little family as you learn, not only practical skills, but focus on your mindset and confidence, so you are ready to go straight out into the world of work and truly succeed.

Can I bring my pet along?

At Global Work & Travel, we share a deep love for animals and fully understand the special bond you have with your pet. We recognise the challenges of embarking on a trip without them. Due to travel restrictions, requirements, and limited pet-friendly accommodations among our host organisations, we regretfully cannot facilitate their inclusion in the journey. However, many of our customers choose to entrust their pets to a family member or friend, embark on their adventure, and return home to wagging tails and furry cuddles.

What happens if I need to cancel my trip?

We know that life can get in the way of travel, so all our trips come with a great deal of flexibility. In most cases, if you cannot travel on your selected date, you can place your trip on hold to deal with whatever is holding you back, and continue in the future without incurring any penalty. You may also have the option of transferring to an entirely different trip and destination as well, or even transferring your trip to a friend or family member. In the event that you need to outright cancel your trip, if you give us 84* days notice you can do so with only a 50% cancellation fee. Your refund of the balance will come in the form of a Store Credit which you can put toward any other trip that we offer, including tours through third-party providers, as well as holidays through DealsAway.com, and is valid for 2 years from date of issue. As international travel can be complex, your options are based on the progress of your trip organisation and our support team can assist you in finding the best solution for your needs.
