Our Teach in Italy trip combines both passions of teaching and travel into one. You’ll gain an internationally-recognised accreditation and be presented with the unique opportunity to have your own classroom of students as you embark on an unforgettable adventure to teach English abroad. Soak up the culture, history and of course lots of pasta sauce in one of Italy’s most iconic cities. Florence is the birthplace of the Renaissance; Michaelangeo, Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo and Florence Nightingale. It’s a place steeped in culture and history. So much so that their entire town centre has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. You’ll feel like you’ve taken a step back in time whilst having the gorgeous Tuscan countryside famous for its world class vineyards right on your doorstep.
We offer the complete package for those wanting to teach & travel overseas and, best of all, we have partnered with an exclusive local TEFL & teacher-training organisation to set you up with an exciting job interview for a paid teaching placement option within Italy upon completion of your TEFL course. Just in case it’s not clear already, we’re not an employment or recruitment agency, so please don’t book with us if that’s what you’re looking for. We sell and organise amazing international travel experiences for the purpose of cultural exchange & education. If a trip has a paid work option, this is not mandatory to do and is there as a means to fund your travels only, and no fee is charged by us for this component. All payments you make are for travel and local support services. If you’re still confused, please get in touch.
Our Teach in Italy trip is designed to get you travelling, living and teaching English overseas as smoothly as possible. We’re here to help you from the very beginning, offering step-by-step guidance as you embark on a path to work and travel as an English teacher abroad. We arrange local cultural experiences and provide you with an internationally-recognised TEFL course which is essential if you choose to find work as a paid English teacher upon completion.
Arrive in Italy with the reassurance that you will be one step ahead of every other traveller or teacher in search of international experience in Europe. Once you’ve completed your TEFL in Florence, you’re free to take it with you to many countries in the world and embark on exciting teaching projects abroad. Or you can choose to stay for longer in Italy and earn a local income in various private language schools around the country. We’ll plan and organise all the surrounding logistics, our 24/7 emergency support team is always on standby, and between us and our exclusive in-country partner, we’ll guide you throughout the entire journey and answer any questions that may arise.
Spend your time teaching in Italy and immerse yourself in the rich culture. Explore stunning Lake Como or Garda in the north or the gorgeous Amalfi Coast to the west. Discover the history and majesty of Rome, strut your stuff in Milan or even stay local and dive into the beautiful vineyards of Tuscany right on your doorstep, before jetting off to neighbouring European countries in your time off. Leave the logistical stuff to us! We’re here to save you time, money, stress and even the risk of returning home early! Embrace a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel, live and teach in Italy and start making magic happen in the classroom of your dreams.
To qualify for this trip you must have your high school certificate or diploma, and you will also be required to bring a laptop with you to aid your classroom duties as a teacher. You must be aged between 19 and 60, have no criminal background, be from an eligible country (please check qualification quiz above) and a fluent English speaker.
What extra costs will I have?
Flights, travel insurance, visa, criminal background check, souvenirs & spending money.
The beauty of this trip is that you have the freedom to create your own adventure. But, for a rough idea, this is how most travellers spend their first few days:
Once you’ve touched down in Florence’s Airport Firenze Peretola, your private transfer will be waiting to take you straight to your initial accommodation in the town of Florence.
The day following your arrival, you’ll be introduced to your TEFL classmates and trainers and prepare to begin your 4 weeks of training!
Classes begin at 9am and mornings include "input" sessions on language, teaching, culture and lesson planning. Then you get lunch followed by teaching practise with real students.
During your TEFL course, you’ll get to experience some incredible cultural orientation activities such as a welcome breakfast, wine tasting and cooking classes.
You will have 20 hours of beginner’s Italian language lessons with the rest of your TEFL group spread out over the 4 weeks.
After you’ve completed your TEFL course, our local partner can arrange a job interview with our partner language schools' recruiters. This could land you a job in Florence, or somewhere else around Italy. You can land a paid teaching English job and earn around €15/hr+ meaning you can fund your travels further! Or, you might want to take your new qualification to a neighbouring European country, the choice is yours.
