The beauty of this trip is that you have the freedom to create your own adventure. But, for a rough idea, this is how most travellers spend their first few days:
Once you’ve touched down at the closest airport to your placement in South Korea, you’ll have access to transport, either a bus or train, to take you to your placement accommodation. Most people are presented with a local teaching contract before they’ve even left home. In the unlikely chance you haven't received yours, our local partner won’t stop until you’ve got one.
Settle into your private, fully-furnished apartment, explore your new home and meet your colleagues.
You’ll get to experience some of the cultural orientation activities planned, such as learning to make a traditional dish in a Korean cooking class, tasting delicious tea in a tea tasting ceremony, joining a taekwondo class or visiting the famous Gyeongbok Palace. Cultural experiences run in May and September, so if you’ve arrived outside of those months, you’ll join the upcoming cultural experience in whichever month comes first.
