While we would love to include flights and insurance in our trip packages, it is not feasible to have a fixed price due to the diverse destinations, trip durations, and individual coverage needs of our travellers from around the globe. However, once you register for the trip, we will assign you a dedicated Travel Concierge. They will work closely with you to arrange the ideal flights and insurance tailored to your specific adventure. Rest assured, our team is here to ensure you have a smooth and hassle-free travel experience from start to finish!

Just like our Au Pair trips, we are renowned for our exceptional matching process. We invest time in understanding your preferences, enabling us to provide access to a diverse range of family profiles and involve you in the matching process. Through video meetings with parents and children, we encourage a strong connection and compatibility. As your departure approaches, you will have the opportunity to reconnect with your host family. We take pride in this thorough process, ensuring that uncomfortable situations are exceedingly rare. However, if any unforeseen circumstances arise, rest assured that we are committed to finding you an alternative placement. Your satisfaction and well-being are our primary concerns as you embark on an incredible tutor experience, creating cherished memories with your host family.

We typically require tutors to dedicate around 15-25 hours per week to tutoring. These sessions are usually scheduled after the children return home from school, giving you lots of free time to discover and explore the incredible surroundings of your new home. This balanced schedule ensures that you have the opportunity to make the most of your tutor experience while also immersing yourself in the vibrant culture and attractions of your destination.

For most placements that are less than 3 months in duration, tutors typically travel on a tourist visa. However, if your placement extends beyond 3 months, our dedicated Trip Coordinator will guide you through potential options for obtaining a long-term visa. We understand the importance of compliance with immigration regulations, and our team will provide the necessary support and information to ensure a smooth visa process for your tutor journey.

While some tutor trips may offer a small weekly stipend, most placements are unpaid. Instead, in exchange for your valuable assistance with the children, you will receive full board, including a private room and meals. In certain cases, additional benefits like access to a car may be provided. Furthermore, you will have the privilege of staying with a welcoming host family who can offer guidance, support, and the firsthand knowledge of being excellent local tour guides. Your rewarding experience as a tutor comes with the security, comfort, and incredible cultural immersion that a host family provides.

No, prior tutor experience is not required at all! While having some childcare experience is preferred, it is not necessary for you to have any formal tutoring background. As long as you possess a strong sense of responsibility and are proficient in English, you will be able to excel as a tutor. Your dedication and expertise in English skills will enable you to guide and support the children in their learning journey. We prioritise your enthusiasm, commitment, and willingness to make a positive impact as a tutor in creating a valuable and rewarding experience for both you and the children you work with.

For most of our trips we should be able to have you and your friends placed together or nearby. Meaning that you can live, work, play & travel together! But wait there's more! Not only can you travel the world with your besties at your side, you can also earn some extra cash towards your own trip just by referring your friends to Global Work & Travel. At Global Work & Travel, we share a deep love for animals and fully understand the special bond you have with your pet. We recognise the challenges of embarking on a trip without them. Due to travel restrictions, requirements, and limited pet-friendly accommodations among our host organisations, we regretfully cannot facilitate their inclusion in the journey. However, many of our customers choose to entrust their pets to a family member or friend, embark on their adventure, and return home to wagging tails and furry cuddles.

We know that life can get in the way of travel, so all our trips come with a great deal of flexibility. In most cases, if you cannot travel on your selected date, you can place your trip on hold to deal with whatever is holding you back, and continue in the future without incurring any penalty. You may also have the option of transferring to an entirely different trip and destination as well, or even transferring your trip to a friend or family member. In the event that you need to outright cancel your trip, if you give us 84* days notice you can do so with only a 50% cancellation fee. Your refund of the balance will come in the form of a Store Credit which you can put toward any other trip that we offer, including tours through third-party providers, as well as holidays through DealsAway.com, and is valid for 2 years from date of issue. As international travel can be complex, your options are based on the progress of your trip organisation and our support team can assist you in finding the best solution for your needs.
