The beauty of this trip is that your days will be filled with structured volunteer duties. You’ll have the evenings and weekends to explore however you please. As a rough idea, this is the daily schedule you can expect:
Once you’ve touched down at Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport, you’ll make your way to the local Hoedspruit Airport. Your pre-arranged transfer will take you straight to your volunteer accommodation in Hoedspruit, located within the game reserve. Relax, settle in and meet some of the other volunteers.
Head to your cultural orientation with the other volunteers, loaded with information about your project and South Africa’s history, culture, climate and more. You’ll also get a guided tour of the project’s centre and be introduced to the project staff.
